Hi I'm Brian

I grew up in a small town called Vernal, Utah. I am now living and working in the coal mines in Kentucky.

About Me

I am a Veteran, I served during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I am a coal miner in the Illinois basin. I enjoy gardening and eating and canning fresh vegetables that I have grown. wood working. I also really like riding my Mountain bike on trails and just enjoying nature. I also have been working on restoring a 1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep that I started with my Grandfather.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always admired the way The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints reaches out to people in the community and other countries who are in need of help from storms, or war. In the scriptures we read that the fruits of the spirit are "Love, Joy, peace", ect. (Gal. 5:22) Jesus Christ told the Apostles before leaving that "the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name he shall you teach you all things..." (John 14:26) When I read the Book of Mormon and then later prayed about it and asked Heavenly Father if it was true, I received an answer that is undeniable. I know that the Lord answered my prayers and I know that the Book of Mormon contains the words of Jesus Christ just as the Bible. I served a two year full time mission teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that the God loves all his children and wants us to be happy and find joy in our lives. I have found that joy and peace in the my life here in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have always believed that living my faith is something I do through out the week not just on Sundays. It isn't something I do but it is who I am. I do what I can to help serve in my community and volunteer where I can to live like our Savior Jesus Christ would have me.
