Hi I'm Chelsey

I grew up in Morgan, Utah. I played volleyball for Utah Valley University, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently finishing my Bachelor's of Nursing at the University of Utah, I hope to work as a nurse in the Emergency Department or on a Cardiac Floor. My husband and I have been married for four years, and hope to start a family soon. When I'm not in school, or studying for tests I enjoy being outdoors, riding my road bike, and camping. I also enjoy reading, and cooking new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe with all my heart in the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in this the Latter-Days. I have a testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith, and of the translation and divinity of the Book of Mormon. There is no doubt in my mind that the Book of Mormon was written for us in the Latter-Days. I have read the Book of Mormon several times, and each time I receive confirmation that the words that are written are truly a testament of Jesus Christ, and by following the counsel written I will have the opportunity to repent and be forgiven of my sins, so that I can return and live with my Savior and Heavenly Father some day. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the prophet that leads and guides this church today. He, as well as other leaders in the church, provide valuable counsel about how to lead our lives during these trying times in the world. I find comfort in knowing that I can the prophet and his counselors for information on how I should lead my life. I was born a Mormon, but I had to gain this testimony on my own. As I grew and learned more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, my testimony grew as well, and I have received many confirming witnesses that this is God's true church upon the earth. Being a member of this church makes me a better person each day, and pushes me to grow and reach my ultimate potential. I know that at the head of this church is our Savior Jesus Christ, and I have a testimony that he well again return to this earth someday. I strive each day to prepare myself to meet my Savior, and to live worthily of the atoning sacrifice He made for me.

How I live my faith

I have the wonderful opportunity to teach the youth of my ward by serving in the Young Women's Organization. We are focusing this year on the theme of "Come Unto Christ." I try to lead by example as I help these young ladies find who they are during what can be difficult years in their life. I enjoy planning activities that help them develop their talents, as well as strengthen their testimony and prepare them for adult life.
