Hi I'm Daryl Kemsley

I travel the world. I love the outdoors. I am an athlete. I'm a MMA practitioner. I coach wrestling. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Hong Kong, China, as the youngest into a family of six. My mother is from Taiwan and my dad is from California, USA. I have had the oppurtunity to work and live in many places like Shanghai China, Lindon and Salt Lake City Utah, Boston Massachussetts, and Manhattan New York. I am currently serving a full-time Mandarin mission in Calgary, Canada. I love to travel, meet new people, and just kick back with friends. I am also a gym rat. I played lacrosse, soccer, basketball, ran track, pole vaulted, wrestled and coached wrestling for the High School I graduated from(in 2013). I enjoy practicing MMA, lifting weights, running, wrestling, anything outdoors, being with friends and family, and reading the Book of Mormon(cheesy but true). I am honored for the oppurtunity to serve as a missionary for the church that has completely changed my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon home with very faithful parents, but I never had faith or believe in the church myself. By the age of 15 I was very over-weight, hanging out with the wrong crowd, suffering from depression, and flunking out of high school. In the midst of it all I recieved personal revalation about the church and the next two years of my life was devotted to finding myself, and my faith. By the time I was 17, I was able to: drop 50 pounds, get my grades up, wrestle, run track, train, and eventually graduate 11th in my class even with my previous bad grades, and become an assistant wrestling coach. I was not able to do it on my own. It was through diligent prayer, and all the help god has given me. I am a Mormon because I have personally seen the impact it has on my life, I am Mormon because I know my Heavenly Father loves me, I am Mormon because I know the Church is true through revelation. I am a Mormon because I am a child of God.

How I live my faith

In High School, I was a part of many clubs including Student Council and National Honors Society, and I strived to lead by example. People often ask me why I was always so happy-and that is because I have been blessed with the truth. I like to lead, help, organize, and talk to people, so I knew serving a mission would be the best thing ever. I worked in Salt Lake City, Manhattan, and Boston for a year after high school, and I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in Calgary, Canada.
