Hi I'm Sara

My favorite color is yellow. I love cats. I'm pursuing a major in Biology. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Minnesota with my parents and twin sister where we would go to our lake home in Wisconsin on the weekends. Then, one summer we decided to move to Arizona where I spent the later half of my life. I received my Associate's Degree in science of general studies at Southern Utah University and now I'm finishing my Bachelor's at Brigham Young University-Provo. I worked at the local humane society in summer of 2014 where I discovered my passion, love, and utter obsession with cats. Have you seen anything much cuter than a little kitten, or 6? Didn't think so.Oh yeah, and I'm a convert.

Why I am a Mormon

Joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was something that came really naturally to me. I like to tell others that ask about my conversion story that I have never felt more like myself than I have being a member of this church. When I was a lot younger, (we're talking like 9 or 10 folks) I thought I was too smart to believe that such a thing as God existed, and I was even going to a catholic school at the time. While I was in high school I met some amazing friends, some who were kind enough to share eternal truths with me. I admired their happiness- the light that was ever so apparent in their eyes, their happy, big, eternal families, and their stories about beautiful temples. I was envious of these friends, and I wanted what they had. Now that I have that, I long for the day when I can have my own big, eternal family in which to bless the world with as well as bringing blessings to my ancestors by doing family history work with the help of the ordinances we can do in the temple. I am a Mormon because I know that nothing else in this world will make me as happy as the full restored gospel of this church. I know it is true, and I have never once doubted it. Timing is everything.

How I live my faith

Going to church every Sunday is my absolute favorite thing to do each week. I don't think I've missed a Sunday since I joined the church (unless I was on a family vacation or something) It is so refreshing, it gives me a break from the craziness that is life, and it allows me to reset my goals for the week while I ponder questions and seek for answers through the Spirit that I can feel there. I love to learn eternal truths and principles from this gospel. I also enjoy reading scriptures and praying every single night in order to grow in my personal relationship with Heavenly Father. As a convert, I have found the Book of Mormon to be incredibly inspiring and full of verses that really speak to me on a personal level. Most of all, though, I live my faith every day through my actions, words, and thoughts. To me, being a Mormon isn't just my religion, it's a way of life. I try my best to follow Christ's example so that I can be a light to others- someone that you would want to approach on the street because you can tell just by looking at me that I could help you.
