Hi I'm Zach

I grew up in Spokane, WA. I'm a college student, I love sports and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest in a family with 8 children, I love watching and playing pretty much every sport, I attend Brigham Young University - Idaho, I am from the Seattle WA area, but grew up in Spokane WA up until i graduated from high school, and I am going to serve a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 2 years in the Mexico, Guadalajara East mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, my family have always been members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, so I have always been a member of the LDS church. When I was in high school, 2 of my older brothers who had recently graduated high school decided to leave the LDS church. Around that same time I was questioning why I was a member of the LDS church because it was hard for me to go to the meetings every Sunday and follow some of the teachings of the church. My 2 older brothers didn't go to church on sundays and they started doing things that the LDS church advises against, but are very appealing to young adults. I noticed this and as I watched them start to do these things, I noticed that they didn't look happy to me. They looked like they were having fun and were enjoying their freedom, but they didn't look truly happy. Once I saw this I decided to really try and have a relationship with my Father in Heaven to see if it would bring me true happiness. I started to take church more seriously and found that I became happier as I did so.

How I live my faith

I try to invite all people to come unto Christ as much as I can. I love to see the joy others have when they let God and Jesus Christ into their lives. Sometimes this involves people who are members of my own church. I make monthly visits to others in my congregation and and see how they are doing and if there is anything I can do to help them. During these visits I also share a message with them to uplift them and help them feel Christ's love.
