Hi I'm Hannah

I'm a daughter. I'm a sister. I'm an aunt. I'm a soon to be missionary. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I've loved kids ever since I can remember. My sister had her first kid when I was 8 (she was 22, don't worry) and ever since then I have been an aunt and it is one of the greatest joys I could ask for. I love spending time with my nieces and nephews and getting to know their individual personalities. I'm also a neat FREAK! My room is constantly being re-organized and I'm keep finding better solutions to keep myself orderly. My obsession with school supplies isn't good either. Every time I got to the store, I find myself spending the most time in the school supply section. Notebooks and pens are my favorite. My entire family calls me Granny Hanny because I don't act my age, I'm like a grandmother to everyone. I love getting to know new people and keeping myself busy!

Why I am a Mormon

One reason I've chosen to be a member of this church is because I feel like I have a reason to always be bettering myself. As I feel I become strong in one part of life I see my weakness in another part and I see the need to make it better. The Book of Mormon also is a huge part of why I'm a part. I always though it was unfair to the people in ancient American that they didn't get to see Christ and it wasn't until I read the Book of Mormon that I understood that he did come and visit those people! I have a strong testimony of modern day prophets and the marvelous things they do for the people today! It makes perfect sense to me that there would be a prophet on the earth today. God didn't command Moses to build the arc, he commanded Noah to. The same applies today. W can learn from past prophet but we receive revelation on what God wants us to do now, from modern prophets. It provides so much comfort to me to know that God is still watching over and guiding us, even today. I've prayed and found for myself that it is all true and I continue to pray about new thing I learn so I can know for myself if it is true or not. That is why I stay a member.

How I live my faith

As a youth I spent a lot of time planning activities for other kids my age through church. This is something I loved to do because in high school I felt it was hard to find people who where doing fun activities that didn't involve things I didn't want to participate in. I enjoyed creating an environment where everyone could come and feel safe. I try to do ask much as I can for those I come in contact with. My goal, as of late, is if I'm thinking about someone I take cookies to them or call them and share an uplifting message with them. I love getting out and helping those who need it. My family and I are know for doing a lot of yard work. This brings joy to us to know we are helping people out in such a simple way (especially when you have a great weeder like me.)
