Hi I'm Lauren Rohwer

Born and raised in good old Cache Valley. Called to serve in the Florida, Tallahassee mission. Most importantly, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I left a special piece of my heart in Quito, Ecuador after volunteering in an orphanage for four months in 2013. The knowledge I have of families being together for eternity brings me much peace in my life knowing that some day I will not only be with my loved ones, but that I will also be able to see those special children that I grew to love so much and were such a miracle and blessing to me. I am now serving my Heavenly Father and the sweet people in the Florida, Tallahassee mission for 18 months in August 2014-February 2016. I cannot deny the truthfulness of this gospel and the happiness it brings. I am grateful for the gift of the atonement. I have applied it and continue to apply it in my life. The Book of Mormon is true. I know it, I believe it, and I could never deny it. I have much to learn, but it gives me peace each time I read it. I am a typical 19 year old girl taking one day at a time. We all have hard days, and things we don't necessarily like about ourselves. I am learning to love myself and accept that I will never be perfect but that I am a daughter of God. I'm excited to lose myself in the service of others and my dear Father in heaven, and make a difference as a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am a Mormon because of the happiness, guidance, and special light it brings to me in my life. I know without a shadow of a doubt that Joseph Smith was a true prophet called by God to restore this gospel and the priesthood here on the earth. I know that our Prophet today, Thomas S. Monson is also a true prophet called by God to lead our church and provide guidance for each of God's children. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it is the keystone and compass of this gospel. I know this because of what I feel when I read it. I feel such peace and comfort and absolutely cannot deny the truthfulness it holds. I know the power of prayer is absolutely real and that Heavenly Father is always there to hear and answer our prayers, not always the way we would like them to be, but that he is absolutely there with us every single step of the way, whether it be through trials or triumph. I cannot deny this gospel and the blessings it brings to me in my life. I have such a testimony of this sweet gospel and know that it is true. I know that I am not alone because we have a Father in Heaven and savior, Jesus Christ that are always there no matter what. Nothing makes me happier than the fact that I get to spread this happiness and same blessings to God's children in the Beautiful southern states.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day by reading my scriptures, studying the Book of Mormon, saying my prayers, serving others, and striving to become like my Savior, Jesus Christ in all that I do. I am serving as a full time missionary in the Florida, Tallahassee mission and hope to be an example and light in others lives as Jesus Christ is for me. In my early teen years I was given the special opportunity to have callings, participate in presidencies as both a president and a counselor, and also be apart of leadership positions with the Young Women program. This is something I will forever consider one of the most special blessings given to me from my Father in Heaven. This is when I really gained my testimony for this true, special gospel. As I was battling hardships and trials in my life, I know without a doubt in my heart that the blessing of having Young Women in my life each Sunday as I went to church, and each week as we met for our activity, was to guide me and learn the importance of losing myself in the service of my Heavenly Father and his children here on earth. I live my faith by attending church each Sunday and partaking of the sacrament, and being an example and friend to others. By doing these things to live my faith through both the happiest moments and the most heart breaking, sorrowful days, it never fails to bring me peace, comfort, and miracles in my life.
