Hi I'm Tanner

im serving in the Stockholm Sweden mission! I Love sports, surf & music, middle kid of 5, & Im a Mormon!

About Me

Hey there! Im from manhattan beach CA. If you dont know where that is its southern CA! In my family i have four siblings. We all look alike and you would need guess that we are all adopted until you saw us with both parents! I love soccer, volleyball (any sort of sport), and music. I play piano, guitar and ukulele and I'm always singing. But The beach is my favorite place to be! the ocean is my peace and i love love love to surf.

Why I am a Mormon

A lot of people may think we don't have a choice in the mormon religion. I was adopted into a mormon family so I've been apart of the church my whole life. In our religion we believe in something called agency. the freedom to choose. The freedom To make mistakes and learn from them. I am a Mormon because I chose to be. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has so many blessings to offer. Because of my faith and my Heavenly Father, My family can be together forever. I may be adopted but because of the Blessings from learning and living the gospel, my adoptive family, is my FAMILY. It doesn't mater where any of my siblings or even myself came from. We are sealed together and can be a family for eternity. I am mormon and practice my faith actively because as a younger girl I felt misplaced. I was 'just adopted'. My parents looked so different from me. Who were these people really that took care of me? How can they be my parents and siblings! I learned that we are all children of our heavenly father. I had so many questions. I said a lot of long prayers. Learning to really listen for an answer is difficult, its easier for me to feel. So i waited for a feeling, to let me know what i believed and had been taught was true...That my family was meant to be together even though we looked so different. I feel so blessed to have this knowledge. I am going on a mission because i want to share these truths. All of my brothers and sister out there need to know of the goodness of this gospel. By humbly reading the bible and the book of mormon in faith, with prayer. Don't just ask your question, seek the answer.

How I live my faith

I have recently turned 19 and in the mormon religion we can choose to go on a mission for the church at this age. I have decided I want to go and I've received my call to beautiful, freezing cold, Stockholm sweden!! Ill be leaving for my mission november 19, 2014. i will be learning swedish! Growing up on the beach with warm sun all year round makes me a little nervous going to Sweden in the dead of winter. Three hours of light and snowy days sounds so scary to me! But i couldn't be more excited!! I have a blog for when i start called Swedensmiles.blogspot.com if you would like to follow my 18month Journey
