Hi I'm Jake

I'm a mechanical engineer, a husband, and a father. I ride my bicycle to work everyday. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing with my family. It doesn't matter what we're doing as long as I'm with my wife and kids I am having a good time. I enjoy hiking, running, boating (knee-boarding), playing soccer, volleyball, and just about any sport. I like building/fixing things. It's enjoyable and it makes me feel accomplished.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) because I have learned that it makes me happy. When I don't speak with God regularly through personal, conversation-like prayer I am less optimistic and I tend to have a bad attitude. When I am speaking with God regularly and studying His gospel I feel happier, at peace, and optimistic. I believe that I am a child of God, and that God loves me. I believe that God wants me, and everyone else, to be happy. I believe that all of God's commandments are designed to help us be happy. I believe that God's plan is for our families to stay together after death and for eternity. I believe that Jesus Christ sacrificed himself to save me, and everyone else, from death and sin. I believe God and Jesus Christ live.

How I live my faith

I help people learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I try to teach people about Christ to help myself and them obtain greater faith in Him. I enjoy sharing the happiness that comes from trying to do what is right.
