Hi I'm Jess

I grew up in Utah and have moved over 30 times. I left my beliefs behind for roughly 3 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as a Mormon. My parents divorced when I was 6 and unfortunately I experienced abuse. I have 4 siblings. I always tell people I have been blessed to be surrounded by diversity. In my immediate family there is a baptist, mental illness, Indian, catholic, native american, lesbian, someone who believes in science more than God, drug user, member of the bishopric, primary president and then me who was always told I beat to the rhythm of my own drum. I love them all dearly and my greatest wish for all of them is that they will see that God loves them. Where I came from has influenced who I am today. I always had a testimony but made some choices that lead to me being inactive and eventually disfellowshipped. This was the worst 3 years of life. I moved to the East coast to get my life back together and that is where I found my testimony again. I have been active since 2005 and went through the temple in 2010. The Temple is my favorite place on earth. Knowing first hand how it is to be in the dark compared to Heavenly's Fathers light has strengthened my testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

Time and time again I have been converted to the church. Sometimes it has came from making wrong decisions and seeing the light diminish in my life. Other times it has came from others where I see how the gospel has effected them. Yet my favorite is when I see the blessing that come from living the gospel. God is truly a loving Father to all of us. He knows our hearts. He see's things that we cant and is constantly looking out for us. I know without a doubt that Heavenly Father has a plan for each and every one of us. He has forgiven me and taught me how to forgive myself. He is the ultimate light in my life. That light has confirmed my belief that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is one and only true church.

How I live my faith

I belong to a Mid-singles ward where I am currently a ward missionary. I love the opportunities that I have to meet and be apart of others lives. The gospel is my saving grace and I want to share that grace and light with others.
