Hi I'm Carson

I live in Washington. I love lacrosse, archery and being outdoors. Plus, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I just graduated from high school and our community college through running start this past June. I am now preparing to serve a mission in the Uruguay Montevideo West Mission in September. I'm very excited, and also very nervous! I like to be outside in the mountains, doing everything from camping to hiking to archery to hunting. I also like to draw!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it brings me such happiness and peace. When I am following the teachings of this church, I am happy. When I am doing things that don't follow its teachings, I'm not. It's that simple. I've also felt the spirit testify to me of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. It's not just a book that some guy named Joseph Smith wrote in the 1800's. It contains the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and is 110% true. It does nothing but testify of Christ and tell us how we can become closer to him. I love this church with all my heart, and I love the way it influences my life.

How I live my faith

My calling in our ward is as a youth family history consultant. In other words, I basically try to get the youth excited about doing genealogy and their ancestors. Aside from that, I try to set a good example and just participate with all of my friends and other youth.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is our literal Father in Heaven. God loves us just like a father loves his children here on Earth, only more than we can even comprehend. Each of us is precious to him, and he wants nothing more than for us to be happy and to return to him. God wants to bless us, and one way he does this is by giving us commandments because those are the ways that lead us to happiness. He is all-knowing, all-powerful and all-loving. Show more Show less
