Hi I'm Brady Smith

I am from Southern California. I graduated from Yorba Linda High School. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love all sports and enjoy playing almost all sports. My favorites are basketball, soccer, football, baseball, and hockey. I played Soccer for two years in high school, and play all sports recreationally with friends whenever I get the chance. My music interest is very broad but my favorite genres are Indie/Alternative and Reggae. I graduated from Yorba Linda High School in June 2014, and I am currently doing a summer term at BYU Provo (June-August 2014). I have been called to serve in the Brazil, Curitiba South Mission, and I am very much looking forward to it. I report to the Sao Paulo MTC on October 22.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I would be lost without it. Living the standards and laws set forth give me happiness and have made me into the person I am today. I want to be able to live with my family again after this life in the Celestial Kingdom, and being a faithful member of this church provides me that opportunity. Being Mormon has given me great goals in life such as serving a mission and one day wanting to start a family of my own. I know Heavenly Father loves everyone and wants us al to live with him again. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins so that we may live with God in the Celestial Kingdom again, and I know this to be true as well. I know the Holy Ghost is real and he sent from God to guide us and prompt us to avoid trouble and to do what is right. I know Joseph Smith restored the gospel to the Earth and I know he was a true prophet of God. I know he translated the Book of Mormon with help from the Holy Spirit, and I know that this book is true and saves lives. I know that temples are the house of the Lord, and the ordinances preformed there are sacred and true. I know Thomas S. Monson is a true, living prophet that receives revelation directly from God to lead this church. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am an active member in the Priest Quorum back home, and served as First Assistant to the quorum. I helped plan the weekly activities, made announcements, and other dukes that go along with that calling. At BYU I am the "father" of our family home evening group, and preform similar tasks such as planning activities, and making sure everything runs smoothly. I am preparing to serve a mission by reading the Book of Mormon, daily prayer, studying Preach MY Gospel, and living the For Strength of Youth standards. I attend church every week, as well as the activities and service projects during the week.
