Hi I'm Erin

Registered Nurse. Aspiring Doctor. Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pediatric registered nurse who's returned to school to pursue a career as a physician. Someday, I hope to use those skills traveling and providing humanitarian relief across the world. I love learning new things, and I have a love for helping others. I also love to read. My bookshelves are filled with books I love and books I've yet to fall in love with.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, and became a member following my baptism and confirmation on my 8th birthday. As I grew older, I attended church and other youth programs, but I began to fall away from the church. In my early college years, feeling lost and unsure about my life, I turned to God and the scriptures for guidance and hope about the course of my future. I made a slow return to the Gospel, and I saw the impact it was making in my life. The closer to God I grew, the happier I became. The more I learned of Him and His word, the more I learned about myself and who I really was. What a blessing that is in these times of confusion and mixed messages. There is so much peace and happiness waiting for us through Christ and His atonement.

How I live my faith

Currently, I'm preparing to serve a full time mission teaching the gospel to others. I've been called to serve as a mission nurse specialist in the Chile Santiago South mission. As I prepare for both my mission and my future career, I've learned to study Christ's word. Christ was the greatest physician who ever lived; He was a healer who truly loved the people He served. Following that example has led me to finding joy in my profession and schooling. I know that each person I come into contact with is a beloved son or daughter of God, and that way of seeing things has greatly changed how I strive to live my life.
