Hi I'm Lehi

I am a Filipino raised in Dubai. I am a singer, a college student, a missionary, an adventurist, and a dreamer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I came a long way, from city boy, to a town boy, and then city boy again. I'm an insanely happy person and love to get along with people, although I forget names quickly. I am academic excellence, having honors in college. I study a lot and I have like a competitive mental illness. I am also up to adventures, I love discovering new places and to travel. I also love photography as an art. And I love to sing and I'm still learning how to sing and perform. I grew up in Dubai and I love the city so much that I watched it grew from a dessert into one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I'm a proud Filipino and I love my home country's culture.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born with Mormon parents. But it is not just them the reason of why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I want to follow the Savior, Jesus Christ and grasp that joy from His gospel. I am a Mormon because I know and believed that the Church is the only true Church restored in these latter days and that I will follow Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because I found my purpose in this life and that I can be happy every single minute. Being a Mormon makes me a better person and a happier person. I prayed if the teaching of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are true, I got my answer and it is true. I read The Book of Mormon cover to cover and I still know and believe that it is the most correct book on earth.

How I live my faith

The best way that I live my faith is that I always smile and laugh even the simple things because I know that what I believe in makes me and others happy and it always filled myself at ease. I study the Book of Mormon with all my heart and sometimes, I share what I believe in to some of my friends in youth. Mostly, I become an example to others. I just don't say my faith, I act upon it. I always pray and read the scriptures. I'm usually spiritually courageous when I'm living independent in the city. At a right setting, I share the gospel to others. I help others whether be emotionally or mentally or physically challenging to see that there is more to life than just living, that we have a purpose in life.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

What is the First Vision?

A young boy named Joseph Smith wanted to know which church he should join. He was surrounded by various churches that disagreed with one another. One day, he came across the Bible, in the first chapter of James, fifth verse, which read, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given unto him" (James 1:5). He wanted to know which church he should join and he made the descision to ask God or to pray. One morning, he went to a grove, knelt down and prayed to God. Then an answer to his prayer is that he himself saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. In his own experience, he said, "I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me....... When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other— This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!" He was told not to join any churches because parts of the gospel were lost or changed in time. The First Vision is the starting point of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is to show God's love for us, His children. Because of His love, He has called another prophet again on the earth to restore His gospel and His church. Show more Show less
