Hi I'm Gregory Bakewell

Just a regular guy, Born and Bred in Hereford, England. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just like any other young person, I enjoy sports of any kind, I am a huge football fan and love watching Rugby, as well as playing both of these sports. I am 1 of 10 children in my family, there are 5 boys and 5 girls. I have lived in the same house since I was born, which is in Hereford, England. I am a qualified Engineer, as I completed an Apprenticeship in Engineering, I worked for the same company for 3 years. It was small and the work wasn't the best, but I did enjoy the people and the job!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? This is a question I may have asked myself many times on occasions. How many young people are able to say that they don't drink? Or maybe Smoke? I don't think there are many of the age 18+ especially in England. So when I see my friends doing this and having a social time meeting people and having what the decisive to have fun, I often as myself why am I a Mormon? But I am so grateful to be a Mormon and to know that I am an individual who has a loving Heavenly Father and a Loving Family. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have to learn and to grow as a person within the church, it brings me great joy to be a Mormon. And this is the joy which I would like others to have. Its gotten me through tough times and challenging decisions, its helped me with so much. And it would bring me great joy if you could find this happiness also.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is by being an example and of service to others. I try to be an example of my Faith in all areas of my life. I think service is a great way to be an example to people around you. Ways in which I serve is with members of the ward, by going out and doing actual service, such as clearing out gardens for care homes, or helping people in the local community move or paint. Other ways I have done service was to help organise activities for young people within the church, this was so much fun and my favourite act of service. Not only was I able to have fun with them I was able to be and example and learn and grow with them. I am also lucky to be able to teach, the visitors of our ward and able to talk about subjects within the church on a level that we all I understand.
