Hi I'm Tyler

I grew up to Arizona. I've gone to 5 different schools. I'm an honors student. I am in choir and band. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a huge nerd. And geek. There's no other way to describe myself. When I get back from my mission I'll be going right into college as an aerospace engineering major, because I love math, physics, and most of all airplanes. Airplanes are the love of my life. Everything about them just amazes me so much. I believe that we were able to develop the technology to create these engineering marvels only through God inspiring men. Just look at how much air travel, along with so many other inventions, has improved this world. And allowed for the spread of the gospel. Now I'm also a huge geek, because even though I have managed to maintain a rather active social life, I love things like Star Wars and other books/movies right down that alley. Especially books. Reading books probably takes just as much, if not more, of my free time as playing games or watching tv does. I have read so many fantasy and science fiction books, I can't even come close to listing all of them. Other than that, the only other big thing about me is that I was in choir in high school as well as concert band where I played trombone and marching band where I played the marching baritone. I also learned the trumpet to audition for a summer drum and bugle corp in California.

Why I am a Mormon

I haven't had a completely smooth road on the way to my mission. I have been very blessed by having parents that love me and live by the gospel. I've always been a part of the church, and always believed in it. But this doesn't mean that everything always went nicely for me. While I know I haven't had it as hard as most, I have had moments that were hard for me to work through. The only reason I have been able to work through my obstacles, and become the man and missionary I am today, is thanks to the care of my loving Heavenly Father as he led me and guided me to where I needed to go and what I needed to do. I have a testimony of his Love, and his ability to forgive us should we have faith in him, forsake our sins and repent for them. The power of the Lord's atonement is infinite and it is only through Christ that we can go on to live with our Father again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. I strive to go to every church meeting/activity I can possible make it to. I have also attended seminary all four years of high school and went to religious institute classes over the summer before going on my mission. I love to be so active in the LDS church because it helps me feel closer to God as I surround myself by people who believe as I do. Currently I am serving a mission in the Nevada Las Vegas mission. This entails devoting 2 years of my life to the Lord and spreading his gospel. I love the work of going out there and teaching the gospel to all of God's children, because I know it is what He wants me to do, and it feels so good to help others find what I have had from birth.
