Hi I'm Eric

I am a young man from Southern California, serving a mission in Halifax, Canada. I play basketball, sing, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in Orange County, California, of goodly parents, who raised me in the Mormon faith. I was very lucky to be raised by active members of the church, because it set the tone for my life thus far. I have one brother(30), and 2 sisters(33,34), all active in the church. Though I had a relatively easy upbringing, I did face some opposition. When I was 9 years old, my mother passed away due to a brain tumor. Even though I only had her for 9 years, I truly feel I gained more from my mom than most get to, I am truly grateful for her example to me. Me and my Dad lived by ourselves for three years. In 2012, I moved to a La Crescenta, CA. I went to High School, and played basketball, and am lucky enough to have earned scholarship opportunities for college basketball. I am serving a mission in Halifax, Canada, which I am very much enjoying. When I return home I will be continuing schooling, basketball, and (hopefully) eventually finding a wife!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the church, I am blessed to have deep roots in this church. As I grew older I continued to grow in the gospel as well. I love everything about our church, and I know it's true.

How I live my faith

Charity is the pure love of Christ. One big question I had coming on my mission was, What is Charity? At length, I came to the conclusion that charity is doing whatever you can to bless the lives of those less fortunate than me, both temporally and spiritually. I've decided that that will always be a goal in my life. I've always wanted to play professional basketball, because I love the game so much. But recently, I came to the conclusion that the real reason reaching that goal would be so beneficial is because of the good that can be done as a consequence. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so much that I am willing to devote 2 years of my life to it.
