Hi I'm Linda

I grew up in Northern British Columbia I am a wife, mother and grandmother I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am married to my best friend and have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. I was raised on a farm and was blessed to take over the family farm that my parents worked so hard to establish. I have been a 4-H leader in Horses. I was able to work and learn along side my children. We have many fond memories with 4-H and the community we have lived in. I love the outdoors and also I love to garden and to learn new things. I love being with friends and family. I also like to have quiet time were I can just relax and enjoy nature. I did home schooling with my 2 youngest children and was very happy when they graduated. I love serving and helping others. My favorite thing to do is travel and spend time with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church just before I was born. They where contacted by the missionaries. They listened to there message and studied and prayed and learned as mush as they could and felt the Holy Spirit testify of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They were baptized and they shared their testimony with there children and we were all baptized in to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I gained my own testimony when I was 15, I was attending another faith with friends for a youth group. When we arrived to the meeting, the pastor of the group was speaking negatively about the Book of Mormon and of Joseph Smith and the teachings that I had grown up learning about. My heart sank as listened to this man make what I had learned to love and cherish seem so unimportant. I left the room for a short while to think and to pray for strength. I returned to the group and shared my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon. Sense that time I have never questioned my testimony or my belief in the teachings of the church. I love the peace and joy I get by living the standards and principles, they can bring such joy to myself and my family as we try to do the best we can and share what we have with others.

How I live my faith

I love serving in my church callings. I started at a very young age I was called as a secretary to our primary at the age of 12, Then I was our Branch Sunday school secretary, I have served as Sunday school teacher, Primary teacher, councilor in Primary, and Young Women's and Relief Society. I have also been President in Primary and Relief Society. I taught home early morning seminary for 10 years and loved it. I also am a Visiting teacher which I love to do to get to know the sisters and to build friendships. I love serving and sharing my testimony with others through living by example. The Savior taught that we should act and live as he did and His example was of love and service. I feel happy and peaceful when I live as the Savior Jesus Christ taught us to live.
