Hi I'm Alison

I'm a dancer and a musician. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music and dance and have always made them a big part of my life. I love to play the oboe and sing and I've done clogging as well as folk dance in college. I also love to travel to see and experience new things and cultures around the world. I lived in Moscow, Russia for three years with my family when I was little and I love meeting new people and learning new languages. I am currently serving a full-time mission in the Adriatic South Mission which consists of Albania, Kosovo, and Macedonia. I am learning Albanian and I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is what makes me happy and what brings me hope and joy in this life and for the life to come. I have witnessed the hand of God in my life and felt of His love for me way too many times to deny it. I've learned through my own life experiences and as I look at the world around me that happiness is achieved through following the direction and example of Jesus Christ. I know that as I make righteous decisions and live His gospel, I am blessed. I know God lives and that He loves me and each of His children. I know that when I follow Him, everything works out and I am happy. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it is what brings me hope and joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example and loving everyone around me. I love to serve others and get involved in my ward and community. I served as a Sunday School teacher in my ward during college which allowed me to teach others about gospel principles and to share my testimony with my peers. I love to bake so I often will make treats and take them to people. I love talking to people and just getting to know people so they know that I care. I live my faith and share my testimony with others simply by being an example.
