Hi I'm David Waldron

I grew up in the shadows of the Wasatch Mountains on the east side of the Salt Lake Valley. I work in law enforcement. I'm L.D.S.

About Me

For leisure I enjoy Gardening (I love to watch things grow), Reading (There nothing more relaxing than a good book just before bed or in a leisurely setting like at Bear Lake), Exercising ( I love every thing about it, it keeps body and mind strong.) I could name more;) My wife and kids are my true love in this world. I don't tell them and show them enough. I have worked in law enforcement for the past 18 years of my life. I enjoy the challenge but I find it takes me away from family more than I'd like. Most problematic for me is working weekends and holidays which is time away from my family. We have been blessed to have my wife be a stay at home mom. Because of this we have enjoyed more time as a family, explicitly meal times.

Why I am a Mormon

There are allot of reasons I'm a Mormon, I'll try to explain a few. The Church of Jesus Christ or Latter Day Saints is the faith of my fathers. This church runs deep in my family, my ancestors were part of the church from the early days of its conception. With that being said I would not be part of this church if it was only the faith of my family. I grew up being Mormon in Utah. It was a shock to me at a young age to realized my religion was very small when compared to world religions, it was all I knew. As I entered my teen age years I became good friend with a neighbor boy who was a Lutheran. He told me all kinds of crazy things that he said Mormons believed. I started looking into each one of his claims by crossing checking them with scripture teachings. I found most if not all of his claims to be untrue about my religion. Over the next few years I read and studied the scriptures more deeply. I found the teachings in LDS scripture and the Bible to be the same. The spirit of the Lord touched my heart and I realized for the first time that what I had been taught was not only good (which I already knew) but was also authored by God through his servants. I have tried to live the gospel of Christ and to teach it to others. This church has truly been a "pearl of great price" in my life. It would be sad and wrong of me not to share that with others.

How I live my faith

I love God and my family most in life. I try and spend as much time with them as I can. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints has helped me learn and teach the morals and statues of God. I have tried to live what I know to be right, good and true. I have also tried by example and teaching to instruct my children in the good things of life. I was raised in a good home and community that allowed me to grown and learn good and honest principles. I have served in leadership positions in my church, all responsibilities in this church are volunteer. This includes our bishops who are the leaders of our local churches. I have served as a councilor to our bishop in my area. This allowed me to see the inner workings of our local church. It was amazing to me to see the people serve each other, to truly reach out in Christ like ways to those in need. One of my most cherished responsibilities was and currently is serving the youth. These kids are full of faith and truly are followers of Christ. It is my pleasure to serve them and to be around them.
