Hi I'm Cynthia

I'm a mother of five, grandmother of 10, an elementary librarian and a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my family. Grand kids are the best! I also love the other 700+ children in my life that I serve each day at school. It's obvious that I love to read but I don't do it all the time. I love to work at keeping my house and yard nice, exercising, keeping a journal, organizing, and spending time with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read and studied The Book of Mormon and I know it is true. This is fundamental to belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is not a book written by Joseph Smith. It was translated by him and is an ancient record of a people who lived long ago It is another Testament of Jesus Christ. This book empowers my life daily and brings me closer to my Savior. It is invaluable especially in these times with so many things out there to distract and confuse us. I know my Heavenly Father lives and loves each of us. I believe this is the church that can bring me and my family closest to God. I'm happy that my family can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I love people! It is so fun for me to get to know my neighbors and visit with them. Serving in the church is very important to me and I enjoy getting to know others that way, as well. Jesus Christ is central to our beliefs and I'm working to become more like him.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

We believe that Jesus Christ is at the head of our church. He is the literal Son of God. We love Him and try to do as He would do. We all fall short of this, but we try and we believe that we are saved by His grace. It is a goal to become as He is. We owe Him for all we have and believe He paid the price for our sins. We don't wear crosses because of our belief that he overcame the cross and lives. We keep Him always in our hearts and hope that our actions show what we think of Christ. And, we know that he will come on earth again to reign as Lord of lords and King of kings. Show more Show less
