Hi I'm Jacob Carpenter

I'm from University Place, Washington. I love music, I love soccer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music! I started playing the piano when I was 6 and then I picked up the guitar my senior year of high school. Aside from playing music, I love to listen to music. I listen to about any genre of music. I love to travel! I moved to England when I was 10 and lived there for 3 years. While we were there, my family and traveled to many parts of western Europe such as France, Spain, Germany etc. I loved seeing and experiencing the different cultures especially since I was a boy that only knew life in the United States. Living in Europe also helped me develop a great interest in football or soccer. Of course compared to European players I was nothing since each one is born a natural soccer legend! But I was able to improve my skills with my English mates. I am currently serving in the Florida Orlando Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I've chosen to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the truthfulness of its gospel and the blessings that I have seen not only in my life, but also in others that come from living the church's gospel. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church restored back on the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that he did see God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it was translated by Joseph Smith through the power of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that it is God's words written down by his disciples and prophets. I know that we have a living prophet chosen by God in these latter days. I am so grateful to have the fullness of the gospel in my life. Being a member of the LDS church has made me so happy and has blessed my life in so many ways.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in Orlando, Florida. As a missionary I teach and spread Jesus Christ's restored gospel to everyone! I have the opportunity to serve so many people for 2 years! I love helping others come closer to Christ and enter into his fold. There is no greater feeling than that of blessing the life of another person. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ can bless every person's life and I am so grateful for this opportunity to help others receive those blessings that Heavenly Father has in store for them.
