Hi I'm Paul Anderson

I'm a retired school teacher. I taught English a Second Language for 27 years. My wife and I are going on a mission to Argentina.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful woman. I have four children. We are empty nesters. I just retired from teaching in Boise Public Schools after a twenty-seven year career. I taught Spanish, History, Social Studies, and Enligh as a Foreign Language. I was a Summer School principal for seven years. I am from San Francisco so I root for the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49ers. I moved to Boise when I was 30 years old. I love it here. My wife and I are going on an LDS mission to Argentina for 1.5 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the LDS church in 1979 when two sister missionaries taught me the discussions. I joined the church a week later. My life changed miraculously. While reading the Book of Mormon my head filled with a brilliant light and my prayer was answered that the Book of Mormon is true. It is what it purports to be, a witness of Jesus Christ to be used to teach the world about his dealings with the people on the American continent. Every time I read it I learn another truth. It is truly the word of God. Moroni's promise is true. If you read the Book of Mormon and pray if it is true, the Holy Ghost will surely testify to you that is is true.

How I live my faith

I have had many church callings. Elder's quorum Couselor and Secretary. Stake Executive Secretary. Ward Clerk. Stake YM Counselor. Scoutmaster, District Roundtable Commissioner. YM 2nd Counselor. Stake missionary, and many more.I worked as an ordinance worker in the Boise Temple for 14 years. I love genealogy and have submitted thousands of names of my ancestors to have their ordinance work done. I love missionaries. I am still trying to find Sister Gurr and Sister King, the two sister Missionaries that taught me the gospel so I can thank them. All four of our children served missions. I served in leadership positions Scouting for over 30 years and all three of my boys were Eagle Scouts.
