Hi I'm Durham

I love the outdoors. I love sports, especially Rugby. I am a Mormon

About Me

Ever since I was young, I have always loved the beauty of the mountains. Some of my greatest memories are of fly fishing trips with my dad or of backpacking trips in Idaho's Sawtooth mountains. I also love athletics, especially Rugby. A couple of friends convinced me to give it a shot in high school and I immediately fell in love with it. I recently graduated from High School and am now getting ready to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am currently serving a mission in the Maryland Baltimore Mission

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in an active family, but I have still had to gain my own testimony. This has taken consistent prayer, scripture study, and keeping God's commandments. As I have done these things, I have felt the power of the spirit touch my life. I love the peace and joy that resonates within my heart because of the commitments and obedience that I give to Christ. It is real.

How I live my faith

The gospel is very precious to me. Center to my belief is the atonement of the Savior Jesus Christ. Everyday I make mistakes and everyday I get the sacred opportunity to repent of my mistakes. I know that it will be this faith that Christ can cleanse me of my sins that will ultimately allow me to return to live with my Heavenly Father.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

I like to think of it like this: if a random car on the street flashed sirens at you and pulled you over, and this person was not a police officer, would it be legal? Absolutely not. This is the same reason that God requires those who perform His ordinances to be performed by those who hold His power. Show more Show less
