Hi I'm Heather

I'm a full-time Mother of three, and a part-time RN. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to bake! I especially enjoy creating new flavors of cakes and cupcakes and new decorating techniques. I like running and playing tennis. I enjoy ice hockey. I love music! I like to sing and play piano. I am classically trained vocally, but also love to sing jazz. I graduated with my BSN and currently work weekends as a registered nurse at a maternity unit at a local hospital. I have three very active children and one on the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know it is truly The Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a blessing to have a living prophet of God, President Thomas S. Monson, just the same as in The Bible. President Monson is appointed by God to help guide us and receive revelation from The Lord for everyone on this Earth. I also know that the Holy Ghost has been given to us as a gift and he helps me discern right from wrong and receive personal revelation for myself and my family. I love to read The Book of Mormon, and every time I do I receive confirmation through prayer that it is a true book. There are so many stories in it that build my faith and guide my choices to be a good person every day. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he translated The Book of Mormon by The Lord's commandment. I am grateful that I am able to turn to my Heavenly Father and the scriptures in any time of need or comfort, and on a daily basis to inspire and uplift me. This Gospel helps me to be a better kinder person, a more patient, loving mother and makes me a happier person.

How I live my faith

I love to praise my Savior by singing in the choir at church! I also have the opportunity to teach music to the children during church. We have a wonderful time being silly, learning music through games and teaching them how to worship through music.
