Hi I'm Logan

I grew up in Alberta. I play the trumpet. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy music and have had the opportunity to be in a school band as well as form a band with friends where we played at our grad closing ceremony and at grad fundraisers. I play the trumpet and have had many opportunities to play solos and take a lead role in our school band. I was able to play the Last Post at our school and community Remembrance Day ceremonies in 2013. Along with playing the trumpet I also have an interest in collecting Canadian circulated coins. During high school I kept very busy studying and working hard in school as well as working part time at a health food store. School kept me too busy to play sports however I do really enjoy playing soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that if I follow the teachings of my Heavenly Father, then I will be able to return and live with him again. When I go to church and follow the teachings I feel good inside and the Spirit testifies to me that these things are true. I have had many experiences where I have been blessed for following the teachings of the gospel and have seen how the gospel has kept me on the right path and steered me away from danger. It is hard for me to put into word the reasons why I know that this is the restored gospel, but that is because it is more of a feeling from within. The best way to put it is that I am a Mormon because I have found the truth.

How I live my faith

There are many ways in which I live my faith. My values and beliefs are different from many others and there for while going to school I stood out differently. First of all I went to school early to attend Seminary where we would study and understand the scriptures. Also throughout school I sat out of many movies and books because their teachings and content did not coincide with my beliefs. I never swore or went to parties either because I don't believe in swearing or drinking. In addition I have been able to take part in a hometeaching program where I would go with a companion to a few families every month and check up on them, see how they are doing and leave a spiritual message with them. I also would attend a weekly youth activity, occasionally speak in church and would serve in church callings. Now I am serving a mission where I have the opportunity to be able to go and share with those around me the knowledge of the restored gospel and the blessings it brings.
