Hi I'm Alex

I have lived all over the world, I now live in Utah . I like to run, play basketball, and play the saxophone.I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 18 I have just graduated from high school. In high school I was a runner for track, and cross country. In track I would run the longer races, the one mile and two mile. I also was also in the band. I play the saxophone. I have played the alto saxophone for about 5 years and the baritone saxophone for the last part of my senior year. During my time in high school I worked at an elementary school as a sweeper. I slowly moved up the ranks and when I was a senior in high school I became head sweeper. I was the one who stayed the longest and locked the school up for the night. I'm also pretty smart, I took the honor classes, except for English, and I took a couple of AP classes. Every report card it seemed I would have all A's except for one A-. I have been accepted to go to college at BYU. I am still not sure exactly what career I want when I leave college. Right now in my life it looks like I want to be an engineer. I have also taken the steps and have been getting ready to go on a mission. My mission is the St. Petersburg Russia mission. This mission call has been very great blessing in my life. My ancestors come from the Russia and Ukraine area and I have always wanted to learn a new language. I was born in Utah. My dad was a diplomat and we lived in Guangzhou China; Tegucigalpa Honduras; Moscow Russia: and Keiv Ukraine where my dad and sister were kill in a car accident. I now live in Utah. My mom latter remarried and I now have 3 new brother.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raise a Mormon. And I have had many experiences that have help my testimony to grow. My conversion has been line upon line, step by step through out my life. The Gospel make my happy.

How I live my faith

I have recently become an elder in our church. And as I am getting ready for my mission I do not have a calling in the church but I have had many. I know how to play the piano and before our meetings I am regularly asked to play a hymn. I also had a calling that has taught me a lot. I was a youth councilor for the special needs program. Every Thursday, during my senior year at high school, I had the opportunity to be a friend to one of the special needs people in my ward. My friend had many mental and physical problems and was quite a bit older than me, about 50. But I was happy to go every week. I learned a lot from my time working with them. I learned about the character of Christ from them. The love that they have towards everyone, and the importance of hard work. Those with special needs have many difficulties with things, but they try their very hardest at everything they do. Another thing the people with special needs have taught me was that they never tried to be someone who they were not. In our life today everyone is trying to figure out who they are and trying to impress everyone around them. Those with special needs know who they were. I made a lot of friends and it was a fun time in my life.
