Hi I'm Aidan

I'm from Colorado. I love my family and my Savior. I'm currently serving in the Alpine German-Speaking mission. I'm a mormon.

About Me

Some of my favorite things are my mothers cooking, music, mountain biking, the outdoors, and being with my family. I have an amazing family. I love being in the sun doing anything. I would love to live on a coast someday or somewhere with exotic beaches cuz I've always been too far away from the coast to ever go. I really want to travel, go see the world and experience lots of different cultures. I love seeing pictures of the rest of the world. I'm bursting with excitement to spend the next two years on a mission in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. I love learning. High school wasn't very challenging and I enjoyed all the free time and having fun but I'm happier when I'm working hard. After the mission I'm going to BYU. I think I want to go into medicine and become some type of surgeon because I like the idea of doing service medical care in places like Africa and South America. But I have an open mind. If I don't laugh during the day then something is wrong. I love laughing! I think I love it so much because you laugh when you're happy and around people you love. If I can make someone laugh during my day then I'm happy! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. But I chose this church for myself. I liked Church and the good people around me and my family but that's not why I'm Mormon. Growing up I only wanted to know that everything I had been taught was true. I hoped that it was true because I was happy in the Church. But when I started reading the Book of Mormon on my own there was a difference in my life that I could see. The days that I read I was happier, I felt good, and life was just better. I remember the moment that I knew the Book of Mormon was true. I had recently read Joseph Smith History and was pondering about his first vision. That day I had watched a devotional by an apostel Elder Scott about prayer and he made a comment about praying vocally. I went to a quiet place where I could be alone and knelt down. I realized that I had never prayed vocally, so I opened my mouth and spoke the desires of my heart. I now know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Joseph Smith is a prophet called of God to restore his gospel to the Earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Jesus Christ's church on the earth today. This Church holds the preisthood authority of God. I know that these things are true. And I want everyone to know and have the happiness that I get from this Gospel. Please read the Book of Mormon and pray about it, and I know that you can receive an answer from our Father.

How I live my faith

Growing up the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was such a blessing to me. I loved going to church on sundays and youth activities during the week. I always had a group of friends from church to be with. I had a leadership position in our youth group when I was 16-17, but my biggest contribution to the church is my mission. I'm giving two years to go preach the gospel that has brought me so much happiness to my brothers and sisters in the Alps.
