Hi I'm Hayden

I'm a runner, I competed in track and x-country in High School, as well as 3 Ragnars. I'm a preparing missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a runner, I love to compete as well as to run just for fun. I ran track and cross country in High School, and have run in 3 Ragnar relays as well. I love playing basketball. I love watching these sports as well as football, soccer, the olympics, and others. I love hanging out with my friends and meeting new people. I love to go camping and hiking and being outdoors. I just graduated from High School and have my call to go and serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon church), after which I plan on going to college.

Why I am a Mormon

Yes, one reason I am a Mormon is because I was born into an LDS family. But I continue to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints and will continue being a member of the LDS church into my adult life and into the eternities because I know for myself that this is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ on the Earth today. I know that Jesus Christ came to this earth to atone for all of our sins. I know that he came to this earth, lived a perfect life, and that he died. But that he rose again, and that because he came and took upon himself the atonement, and lived perfectly, and died, and lived again that we all can have a perfect hope. We can know that because of his atonement, he has taken upon himself the price for our sins, so if we but believe on his name and follow him with diligence, we can be forgiven of all those sins. All of our short-comings, downfalls, slip-ups, can all be erased and corrected through him. Because of the Atonement he can also be the perfect comforter, knowing how to succor us in our worst moments. Finally, because of him we know that one day we will be resurrected, and that if we have truly followed him, we will have eternal life and get to live with him again. I know that because this is his restored gospel, that this is the way that he has set for our return to him. It teaches not only of how to get rid of sin through his atonement, but also how to follow and come unto Christ and be perfected in Him, that we may all have eternal life and live with him again. This is my testimony, I know it to be true, and I cannot deny it. I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that this gospel is his restored gospel on the earth today.

How I live my faith

In the past I have served as a youth president or assistant in the different quorums (groups) we have for the young men who are in my ward (neighborhood). In doing so I help direct, lead, and teach them. I also serve as a home teacher to 3 families in my ward. I help them in any way that they need, and go to their home once a month to share a gospel based lesson and get to know them better. I am currently in the last stages of preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where I will go out to share the message of Jesus Christ and of the restoration of the fullness of his gospel on the earth today.
