Hi I'm Aubryn Talbot

I grew up in Arizona, I am currently serving in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission. I love life, my family, and the Gospel.

About Me

I have recently finished my first year of college and I am now serving a mission! I have 3 brothers, 1 sister, 1 sister-in-law, and a cute little niece. My family means everything to me and I love to spend all of my time with them. I love to be around people that are happy and bubbly, it puts a smile on my face and allows me to be happy. I love to smile and laugh everywhere I go. I'm a little shy when you first meet me and I probably won't say very much, but if people take the time to get to know me, we will be great friends right off the bat.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for many different reasons. I have grown up with the church as a major influence in my life, but I have never truly appreciated the gospel more in my life then at this moment in time. Growing up, I just kind of went through the motions and depended on my parents testimony of the gospel and not my own. But as the reality of life hit when I moved away from home and was no longer under their protection, I had to come to know for myself that the gospel was true just like everyone else. I had many questions, doubts, and fears about the things I had been told to believe in all my life, but I never actually tried to receive an answer from my Heavenly Father before. Everyone always tells you that it takes the "primary answers" such as " read your scriptures, say your prayers, go to church, and go to seminary to receive your answer and build your testimony of the teachings of the gospel. I have come to know for myself that those "primary answers" are all it takes to receive answers from our Heavenly Father. I have seen how doing the basics of the gospel have helped change me and also how relying on the spirit to guide and direct you have shaped and molded my testimony. I know the church is true with out a doubt and I have seen it changes people's lives. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the teachings of the gospel. Sometimes that's not always easy for a lot of people. But if you practice living righteously every single day it becomes habit and it gets easier and easier everyday. I try my best to be an example of righteous living everyday and while I do that I help others around me try and do the same thing. Being a missionary allows me to give service to those around me, it also puts into perspective how unique and different people are and allows me to see all the detail the lord puts into each and everyone of us.
