Hi I'm Makenna

I'm a D.O.G. (Daughter of God) I like to C.T.R. (Choose the RIght), I love to L.O.L. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Colorado I love anything outdoors I am an athlete I am an Aggie (USU) I am an education major I love to travel-the coolest place I have ever been is Tahiti I love shoes *Spending time with the ones you love is time well spent*

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. When I was younger I would go to church because it was the thing we did on Sundays. As I have gotten older, I have had many experiences that have allowed me to grow my testimony. An experience that was crucial in building the foundation for my testimony to grow upon happened in the mountains of Colorado. At Girls Camp, our leader told us to go and ask our Heavenly Father if He was really there, and if He loved us. As I was sitting there, I felt I warm embrace, and knew right then and there that He is there, and that He loves me and knows what I am going through. Once I knew this, everything in my testimony fell into place. Because He loves us, He has given us the gospel. I know it is true with all my heart. I know it was restored in these latter days by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know he translated The Book of Mormon-which is the most true book. I have read it, and have felt the spirit testify to me of its truthfulness. I know that we have a living prophet today- Thomas S. Monson. I am thankful for him, and the revelation he receives on our behalf. I know if we listen to him, we will be blessed. I am so thankful for temples, and the knowledge that I have that families are forever. I am so thankful for our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know He loves us. I am so thankful for Him that he made the sacrifice to suffer and die for us. I am grateful for His atonement, I know that through the power of the atonement, we can return to live with Him. I know He loves us, I know He knows us personally. I know that if we mess up or need peace and comfort, we can always turn to Him. I love Him, and my love for Him is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by setting the best example I can to those around me. All throughout high school, I served in many callings-my responsibilities included planning activities for the other youth to participate in, and to try to bring a smile to people each week. It was great to serve in these callings because it allowed me to develop friendships with people that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to form. It helped me learn responsibility, and allowed me to help others. I feel that the callings I served in as a youth prepared me, and help to shape me. In college, I served as a Sunday School teacher! I loved it! I loved learning more about my Savior, and loved hearing other's views in class each week. It is incredible to see how the spirit works so differently for different people. I am now preparing to serve as a missionary! I cannot wait to teach others about this incredible gospel, and to help them realize and recognize the love that our Father in Heaven and Savior-Jesus Christ have for us. That love is what this gospel is all about.
