Hi I'm Karlie

I grew up in Herriman UT, in a family of 8. I know Christ lived and this is His only, true church. I am a Mormon.

About Me

The things I love the most are spending time with friends and family. I love doing things outdoors, such as camping, hiking, and so much more! I enjoy painting and shopping when I have the time or money, and I love talking with anyone about everything!

Why I am a Mormon

Initially I became a member of this church because it was what my family had all done. I got baptized at age 8, and continued to live by the teachings and following my parents examples. However, as I have grown older, and gained experience and knowledge, I am constantly converting more and more each and every day. I am a Mormon because we are able to receive revelation from our loving Father in Heaven through the Holy Ghost when we ask him whether or not these things are true. I am a Mormon because I have personally asked my Father and he gave me my answer. I am a Mormon because I am not perfect. I use Christ's atonement each day in my life. He suffered for my sins so I can repent and be forgiven. Each day as I strive to be better, he helps me to grow and achieve things I never imagined possible. I am a Mormon because I know my Savior lives, He loves me, and I love him. I am a Mormon because this gospel brings me peace, and comfort, when no other source can calm my troubled heart. I am a Mormon because I know there is more to this life, and I have a divine purpose here on earth. I am a Mormon because this is God's one and only true church, and he desires for me to return to him someday. By living his gospel, and keeping his commandments, I can strive to overcome the things of the world, and someday return to him and obtain everlasting joy. I am a Mormon because I love my Father in Heaven, and I know with all my heart that this is the true church. I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have always been an active member of my church, I lived it by attending church every sunday, and other activities my church holds. I love being a part of the visiting teaching program, and spending regular time getting to know those in my ward even better, and serving them. I will be serving a mission, and I report for the MTC November 19. This is going to be my calling in the church for 18 months, and I couldn't be more excited!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No Mormon is required to serve a mission. Missionaries serve because they want to. All worthy and able young men have been asked of God to serve a mission. Young women are not commanded to go, however we may serve if we desire. "Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work" (Doctrine and Covenants 4:3) I personally have chosen to serve a mission, because I want to share the Lords word to those who do not have it. I never want any person to wonder if they are loved, to debate their purpose in life, or to live life without the peace, comfort, and abounding joy that comes when having the true church in their lives. I want to share the knowledge I am so blessed to have, and I want every person to know of the love the Savior, and our Father in Heaven has for them. I want them to know the truth. I am excited to share this blessed word, and I know that those who receive it will obtain joy and comfort from this gospel that cannot come from any other place. Show more Show less
