Hi I'm Katie

I'm a college student studying Child development. I like to read books and draw. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town with two brothers and two sisters. My siblings were my best friends growing up. Living nearby many beautiful mountains I learned to love the outdoors. After I graduated from high school I started college and found I also had an interest in art. I have discovered I enjoy drawing and painting. I'm studying Child Development and one day I look forward to teaching preschool. I love working with little children and seeing their excited faces when they discover something new. I just recently married the man of my dreams and I am so excited for the adventures to come with him!

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has brought so much happiness into my life. I know that God lives and that he knows and loves me. This gives me great comfort knowing that He is there to help me and guide me. He wants me to be happy and successful in life. In a world that is so crazy and loud and chaotic, the spirit brings a calm peaceful feeling. I know that Jesus Christ died and was resurrected so that I can repent of my sins and one day return to live with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that there is life after death and this brings so much comfort to me. Knowing that I can see family members again in the next life and be with my sweet husband forever brings such a peace into my life. The gospel gives me hope. Knowing that there is more to life than the here and now gives more meaning to life. We have been given scriptures and living prophets to help guide us and provide answers to our questions. I know that The Book of Mormon is a true book. As I've read it, I've felt such a calm peaceful feeling that brings joy to my life. I know that God hears and answers our prayers. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. In the past I have helped teach the young children in the congregation and organize activities for youth groups. I currently serve as a visiting teacher which gives me the opportunity to visit with sisters in the congregation and form friendships with them.
