Hi I'm Joaquin J Pequeno V

I'm a fifth, I'm an almost missionary soon to leave to Puerto Rico, I'm a Mormom

About Me

i'm about to leave on my mission to puerto rico. i go to the dominican republic MTC on october 22nd. I enjoy a huge variety of things, anything from sports like volleyball, or basketball, to nerdy things like video games and card games. even just sitting around watching a movie with some friends and just hanging out afterwards. i'm someone who is down to do anything, but never knows what to do. :) i'd also consider myself a very happy person. i dont ever catch myself getting mad, and i'm very easy to get along with. i also love my family, they're super cool people, and i feel very blessed with the family i've been given. i was never always so into the church, i actually would call myself a convert at heart. after i turned about 16 and started hanging out with more lds kids from my school, i decided to actually give this religion thing a try, and now here i am, about to leave on a mission for 2 years and do the work of our savior. :)

Why I am a Mormon

when i was 15, over my summer i left for this thing called trek, which is where me and my stake goes out for 5 days and we act like pioneers for those days. but i didnt want to go, 5 days with no technology?! worst idea i'd ever heard. XD but i went anyway cause my parents made me. and at this point i didnt even like being mormon, nor did i want anything to do with it. but after going i met this girl, and it wasnt anything like romantic or anything, what happened was she just became my friend. at this point in time she's my best friend and while i started talking to her i also started to talk to some more lds kids around my age, and through a slow 2 year process, i finally decided that i wanted to give this mormom/religion thing a try. so i did, and through another timely process i grew a testimony of my own, and i was able to learn gospel, like really learn it. this has strengthened my testimony of just being a friend to all. it really works.

How I live my faith

in my ward/stake or area, i used to have the calling of stake you council member. in this calling we made up ideas for just about every activity our stake did, and it was awesome! we did things like plan for our stake youth firesides, and youth conference. we live in henderson nevada right outside las vegas, and we drove up a couple miles away from our temple and hiked up to it. it was probably the most fun thing i've done with our stake too. so i'm happy with my callings that i had, i have non anymore on account of leaving soon, but they were fun before. :)
