Hi I'm Garrett Smith

I've grown up moving around the United States. I'm going on a 2 year mission for the church starting October 1 2014. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 20 year old guy that is going on a mission in October of 2014. I want to go to school into Bio-mechanical Engineering after I get back from a mission. Although I was raised in the church I consider myself a convert to the church. I have moved a lot over my life and have been away from extended family for most of my life. I have 4 younger sisters and brother. It's hard being the oldest but one of the most rewarding experiences in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and was raised by my parents in the faith. Although I was born in the church I consider myself a convert. I almost left the church completely when I was 18 close to 19 years old. With the help of the people around me and my family I slowly started to learn and believe the things that I had been taught for most of my life. I know now that I have a spirit Father in Heaven that loves me. I know that Joseph Smith was a dispensational prophet that restored Christ's church in these latter days. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet and holds all of the keys of the priesthood today. I know that the atonement was suffered by Christ personally for me and every other person living, dead, or to be born in the future. I find so much joy in my faith and I want to share my testimony with others in order to show others where they can find the happiness that I have.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as of Oct. 1, 2014. Previously I was a ward missionary in Spring, TX before moving to Virginia in August of 2014.
