Hi I'm Michael

I was born and raised both in the church and in California. I am now going on my mission in Orlando, Florida. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in California and I love to surf and be in the water or at the beach. I also enjoy doing baseball and volleyball. I am attending BYU-Idaho and have completed 2 semesters there already. I am not completely decided, but I am considering either Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science (with that said I would call math my best subject). I am an Eagle Scout and love camping, hiking, motor boating and many other things in the outdoors. However, I do watch a bit of TV and play videogames. Lastly I'm 19 and on my church mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because even though I was born into this church, I strongly believe in the aspects and topics it teaches, especially with the word of wisdom. I really do believe that ever person's life would be happy and more beneficial when following the rules of the word of wisdom. Word of wisdom, by the way, are rules set to not allow the consumption of alcohol, illegal drugs, and other body afflicting substances that would either cause an addiction or some other restriction to one's mental control of their own free choices. This does not include prescribed drugs that are required for one's health. This is not the only reason why I am Mormon, but is actually one of many, many reasons why I am. I will finish by saying that I truly love my church and the members of it.

How I live my faith

I love doing activities with other people my age in my ward, but the best way I live my faith is by serving others and performing charity. Service I feel is one of my strongest acts of love that I can express to both members and non-members. Being not one of the best readers, I really enjoy listening to the scriptures whenever I could. Before coming out on my mission I had the chance to be an ordnance worker for my ward at my local temple. Where I had the privilege of participating in some of the most miraculous works that could be performed on this Earth, which really strengthens my faith.
