Hi I'm Chari

I was raised in Idaho. I will soon be serving a mission in Fort Worth Texas, and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I love nature and doing various outdoor activities such as four-wheeling and camping with family and friends. I enjoy the mountains, and observing this beautiful world that a loving Heavenly Father created for us. All of His creations fascinate me, which is the motivation behind my major of Microbiology. I have already completed a year of post-secondary education as I aim to become a Pathologist. A Pathologist studies diseases - diagnosing and preventing/curing them. I've always wanted to pursue a path in the medical science field, and a Pathologist was the perfect solution. Besides my love for science, I also have other passions. I really like to read, and play piano. I enjoy crafts, due to my grandmothers' love for creating their own things. I like to bake, play basketball, and swim with my friends. However, one of my favorite activities is actually my job. I am a nanny of four children, and I love every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family as well as an LDS community, so I was constantly surrounded by Mormons. However, I am not a Mormon because everyone said I should be. I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt in my heart that this gospel is true. I know the Book of Mormon is true and is a powerful testimony of Christ. The Spirit has born witness to me on multiple occasions that this is Christ's gospel. It has blessed me with a happiness that I know I can't find anywhere else. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and that he restored this gospel to the Earth. I know that there is a living prophet on the Earth today who gives guidance to us through our trials. I have also come to know that Heavenly Father lives, and that He loves us. We are His sons and daughters; He knows each and every one of us. He understands what we go through, because He has been through it Himself in the Garden of Gethsemane. I know He answers our prayers; all we have to do is ask in faith. He will answer them no matter how small they may seem, although on His own timetable. I love Him and this gospel with all my heart. I have no idea where I would be without their guidance. I leave these things with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by just being the best example I can while still being myself. I strive to live the standards I have been taught as well as come to love. I view these "rules" as guidelines rather than a set boundary that I should not pass, because I know they were given for safety and protection to help me live and be the best that I can. I try to serve others as often as opportunities allow, whether it's a part of my calling or just helping someone in need. I strive to learn from my mistakes so I can be a better person as well as a better Mormon.
