Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a University student. I like football, rock climbing, and meeting new people. I love my family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Minnesota, but now go to college out west. I love creating things. Whether it's in my writing or my music, I love trying to make or do things I haven't seen before. I like rock climbing and cycling, and am a big Minnesota Vikings fan. I dream of one day being able to help and inspire others through my art. But first I need to graduate from college!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family where my mother and father were both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a kid, I thought being a Mormon was normal. I just went to church on Sunday like most of the other kids did where I was from. But as I got older, I realized that Mormons were a little bit different than members of other churches, and I didn't really want to be different. I struggled a bit at first trying to fit in with the other kids, once the difference started to show itself more and more. It took me some time, but I soon realized that I didn't need to try and be like everyone else! In fact, nobody in the world needed to be like everybody else. It was when I realized that it was okay to be different that everything fell together for me. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helped me realize who I really am. I am a child of a loving Heavenly Father.Through The Book of Mormon and The Bible, my testimony of God and His son, Jesus Christ has grown and grown, and I continue to learn daily through the scriptures. Being a Mormon church makes me whole. It gives me a purpose for my life, and lets me realize it more and more as the weeks, months, and years go by. But the religion is not just a benefit to my life, or a nice idea that makes me feel better on the inside. I truly believe that we came on this Earth in order to prepare for something greater. I believe that there is a God, and I will try to be obedient to His commandments, and follow the example of His son, Jesus Christ, in order to best prepare for the things that await on the other side.

How I live my faith

For me, being Mormon doesn't just mean I go to the Mormon church on Sundays. It's the way I live my life! I do go to church on Sundays, but I also try to study the words of Jesus Christ and the Prophets each day. I try to volunteer often, and donate a good part of my humble, college student income to those who need it more than I do! I also live my faith by trying to keep my body healthy, because we believe our bodies are wonderful gifts from our Heavenly Father! That is why I pay close attention to what I eat, drink, and how often I exercise. For me, keeping my body healthy is a way I can show God how thankful I am for it. I live my faith by trying to make the world a better place for others, while trying to learn and grow as much as I can personally.
