Hi I'm Tori

I'm dreamer. I'm a family girl. I'm a little weird. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student but kind of want to be for the rest of my life, or at least until I've got all the majors I think are cool. I love being outdoors. I have to really push myself to reach my goals because I have plenty of them but not much drive. I love reading and writing. I think that the differences in everyone's appearances and personalities are amazing and magical. I try to find magic and happiness in everything I experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church, living this way has always been my choice though. I still sometimes wonder why I do it, why I have to try to live up to expectations and work to become better. I do it because it makes me happy. I'm happy when I help people, I'm happy when I do my best, and I'm happy when I do things that bring me closer to God, my Heavenly Father. We aren't asked to change who we are because we aren't good enough, we are asked to become better versions of ourselves. We are loved for who we are and everyone who loves us are proud of our achievements and patient with our weaknesses. I am a Mormon because this is a religion of love and happiness and progression. I don't need or even want anything but that.

How I live my faith

When I show my faith the most is when I'm reaching out to others. I try to help them, or teach them or just make them smile. I may make a difference in their lives at those times but I'm making a bigger difference in my own. I sometimes feel I am not becoming any better, I'm simply stagnant in my life, that's when I have to remember to just keep trying and that's enough. By never giving up I make myself stronger and can hike up the larger metaphorical mountains in my life. Working for what you want is beautiful.
