Hi I'm Patrick King

I grew up in Chicago. I am serving a mission in the California Irvine Mission. I love to do and try everything. I am a Mormon

About Me

I have many different hobbies and likes. I love music in every way. I sing in choirs, play guitar, perform, and love almost every kind of music. I am an actor and have been in multiple high school productions such as Grease and The Wizard of Oz. I love playing all kinds of sports, but my favorite would definitely be gymnastics. I have been a gymnast for four years and I have been coaching for half a year. I love to be out and doing stuff with my friends and family. Whether it's just hanging out or going to a museum, I love it all. I also like to fiddle with technology, either gaming, computers, mobile devices, etc. I like to consider myself as an guy with a passion for just about everything. I have completed one semester at BYU-Idaho, and I plan to continue that soon. I love animals and nature, and I love being in the out doors. I am an Eagle Scout as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born into my faith. Now, because I was born doesn't mean I have been perfectly faithful my whole life. There was a time when I started to doubt what I've been taught, and I wasn't living the way I should've been. I was just being a rebellious youth. But, I do know that this church is true. I have prayed about it and have searched the scriptures and have found my answer. I am also a Mormon because I have seen my Heavenly Father's hand in my life. My little brother had brain cancer when he was six years old, and I know that it was only because of God that he survived. God blesses me with a brother every single day, and there's no way I can turn my back on that. I know of the happiness and blessings that have been in my life because I was faithful to the commandments and teachings of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I am Mormon because I wish to share the gospel to all who will receive it, because it has changed my life for the better, and I want other people to feel it too.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by how I live my life. If someone confronts me about my faith, I will not be shy about it. In fact, I'm more than excited to share my faith with others if they ask. Just by observing how I act and what I say, you can tell that I am LDS. I read my scriptures daily, I pray, I go to church every Sunday, and I keep the commandments of what our Heavenly Father has asked of us to keep. One awesome and huge way of how I live my faith is being out and serving a mission. It has been such a blessing in my life, and it continues to be so. I try to share my faith with those who need it so they may feel the happiness and blessings that I have felt because of this gospel.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Patrick King
To know if Mormonism is true, one must pray to our Heavenly Father for the answer. Not only pray, but also read the Book of Mormon. At the end, there is a promise that asks you to pray to know if these words, the Book of Mormon, are true. It promises that you will receive and answer form the Holy Ghost telling you in your heart and mind that it is true. If the Book of Mormon is true, than Joseph Smith was truly a prophet, and you may know that the same church that Christ established on the earth when he was alive is the same church that has been restored on this earth in these latter days. If you pray sincerely, read the scriptures, follow the commandments, and listen with your heart, you may know I these things are true. I know they're true, because I myself have received an answer to this question. Show more Show less
