Hi I'm Jackson Nielson

I am from a town of less than 200 people in southern Utah. I am a swimmer. I study business. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a water polo player, trekkie, and a friend. I am a missionary in the Colorado, Fort Collins Mission. After the successful completion of my mission I will attend the Marriott School of Management at BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the faith. Some of my ancestors were Mormon Pioneers. I have always believed it is true, but I didn't gain a strong testimony until my sophomore year of high school when I started going to mission preparation classes and learning how to share the gospel, and when I first read the book of Mormon on my own. I followed Moroni's Promise, and I knew it was true. I know that this is Christ's one true church on this Earth, and that by and through him we can return to live with our Father in Heaven. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his son, Jesus Christ. I know that he restored the fullness of the gospel to the earth. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet on the earth at this time. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that it is the word of God, and that it is the most true book on this earth. I know that as we as members try to share the gospel with others, our conversion will be strengthened, and I encourage all to do so. Lastly, I know that Christ is our savior and redeemer, and that he atoned for ALL of our sins and that if we strive to live like him, we will live with him again.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to others. I prioritize my faith over all else. The greatest way I do this, I believe, is that I have chosen to serve a mission, and am currently in the Colorado, Fort Collins Mission
