Hi I'm Servando

I grew up in Mexico. I'm about to go on a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I tend to be shy, but when I get confidence I am fun to be around. I've always had a passion for sports. Nevertheless, my mom made sure I had a space for arts too, so I learned how to play the piano and the clarinet, which has a been a great blessing for me. Right now I am preparing to go on a mission and can't wait to get on the mission field! Once back I plan on studying a career and getting married.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been going to church since I was a little kid. My mom would take me and my little brothers to church every Sunday. At first I admit I used to go because my mom told me too, but as I started to grow older and I had contact with the world and how Satan attacks families and youth, I got a testimony that what we learn in church is definitely what we need to know in order to stay clean, pure and protected from sin. I go to church because I want to build a beautiful family that remains united, based on love, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, respect, and all the atributes Jesus had, and I know I will only achieve that through the Gospel.

How I live my faith

In the church I've been blessed with the opportunity to serve with different things. First of all since I was 14 I became the pianist in my ward. Seeing how people sing, thank you when you help in services like funerals or activities and the difference music makes in the feelings of the person has been a great blessing to me. I have also been able to work with children and youth. I really enjoy playing with children and learning from them. They are really what we should aspire to become like in order to enter the Kingdom of God. In Church I've also been blessed with the opportunity to gain leadership qualities and know how to treat people, like our brothers and sisters, Sons and Daughter of God.
