Hi I'm Steven Jay Williams

I have recently remarried after being single for eight years. I am semi-retired from business management and enjoying my life.

About Me

I was the oldest of eight children, my father served as bishop and stake president during my younger years. My mother was a full-time mother and did her best to give all of her children the attention they needed. My parents insisted that we be fully active in the church and prepare to go to college, serve missions and marry in the house of the Lord. I served a mission in Sao Paulo Brazil which was deeply rewarding and a source of knowledge of a new language that has led me to study languages and I claim reading ability in 12 languages now. I attended Brigham Young University also for five years and gained an extensive education there that has resulted in a number of personal interests that I continue to pursue. I married in the temple of God and was blessed with three wonderful children and now have six grandchildren and one coming. Although my first marriage ended in divorce, I am pleased that my children continue to desire to be close and involved as a family. I have also grown by remarrying and finding out how to relate to a new family and 2 stepsons. This has brought many fine experiences. I have managed businesses most of my life including convenience stores, a service station, a truck stop, a hotel and an apartment complex. I continue to stay partially involved with business issues doing bookkeeping for family owned and operated businesses. I love the out of doors and stay healthy with a mix of walking, running, jogging, hiking and exercising.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not only because I have been raised in the church but because I need to stay close to the spirit that I experience when I give church service and keep the baptismal, priesthood and temple covenants that I have made so that I can be prepared to return to Heavenly Father and live in his kingdom.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking church assignments, striving to keep my body and mind pure, giving unrequested service when able and treating everyone to the best of my ability as the son or daughter of Heavenly Father
