Hi I'm Matthew Burton

I'm a Mormon and proud to be one. I live in Kaysville, Utah. I'm currently serving a mission in New Mexico and I love it.

About Me

I'm 18, tall, fun, and a good friend to many. I'm an Eagle Scout. I love hunting, fishing, and outdoor sports. I love living in Utah because of the weather and the very nice community. I am second oldest of four siblings. I have a lot of family that live in Utah and California. I like going snowboarding in the winter. I like going boating with my friends and family. I'm adopted. I'm a Mormon and proud to be one.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon I love being part of such a great community of people that share the same beliefs. I have grown up in this wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ. I have had many chances and experiences to see the hand of Jesus Christ touch many lives throughout the work of the missionaries and members of the church. I currently have the chance to reach out to many searching for this wonderful gospel for two years as a full time missionary. I want to be a servant and a tool in the Lords hands to have souls come unto Christ and to be baptized and be saved from their sins to receive the Holy Ghost to become a disciple and a representative of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Currently, I am serving a mission in the New Mexico, Albuquerque Mission and it has been an adventure. During the course of my mission, I have been able to see the changes in others lives when they live the gospel and experience the blessings that come from simple obedience to our Heavenly Fathers commandments. I hold my mission as one of the best things that could ever happen to me as I have experienced this same change in myself. Though there is many things in the mission as well as life in general that are rigorous and a bit challenging, there is a reason for all things that happen. Heavenly Father gives us theses challenges only to make us stronger and better disciples of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have felt the "growing pains" that come with this process and its definitely worth it to gain a better relationship with our Heavenly Father as well as Jesus Christ. I love this work and I love this gospel and most importantly, I love my Savior and Heavenly Father.
