Hi I'm Emma Mildenstein

I'm the second oldest of seven children. I like to laugh, and make people laugh. I am an artist. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest in my family. I have one older sister, two younger sisters, and I also have three younger brothers. When I was younger my siblings and I had avid imaginations and would play for countless hours doing whatsoever our hearts desired. I recently found out that I have a talent in art, which is not something I had previously known about myself. I really like to smile, and make people happy. Although I'm not entirely sure why I have this gift, I know that the Lord wants me to lift up the hands that hang down. That's what the Savior would do. I love to sing, and have done so my whole life.

Why I am a Mormon

If I had to answer the question of why I was a Mormon, I would have to say the Savior. I choose to follow the teachings of the prophets and the scriptures because of the Savior. When I was younger I felt a need to draw closer to him and my Heavenly Father. They both filled any gap that my life had made or did not fill. And that is why I choose to do things that may not be the most convenient or fun, because I love my Savior Jesus Christ. Without him I would be a very sad sorry person who wouldn't know what to do with her life. And that is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

In our scriptures, a prophet named Alma said, by small and simple means that great things are brought to pass. In my life I strive to remember that phrase because that's how I live my faith, by small and simple means. It is the small everyday choices that make the biggest difference, like reading my scriptures everyday and sincerely praying to my Father in Heaven for help and strength.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Emma Mildenstein
Our Father in Heaven literally gives us everything. The air we breath, the blood in our veins, the clothes on our backs and so on. And because He gives us everything He wants to see if we are willing to exercise our faith and give back a small portion of what He gives us. And the best part is He blesses us for doing so! He literally blesses you for giving up something that He provided for you. Show more Show less
