Hi I'm Miranda

I'm a California girl. Born and raised. I'm a nanny. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of seven kids. I have an adopted little brother who is every bit a part of our family as everyone else, even with the 14 year age difference. I love kids and spend my days being a nanny. I love to read and to play the piano. I have always been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but it wasn't until I was 19 that I truly gained a testimony of it's truthfulness.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church. A lot of people might say that I have been brainwashed or forced to stay. That is completely not true. I have always had the choice to stay or to leave. When I was 19 I was a crossroads in my life. I needed to find out for myself if this church was the true church of Jesus Christ. I simply asked Heavenly Father if He was there and if He could hear me. I got a very different answer than everyone else. I was driving home from a friends house with my family when I got the distinct impression that I needed to pull over and let my mom drive. I knew that this was my answer. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't done as I was directed but I do know that I learned a very valuable lesson that day. I learned the my Heavenly Father is looking out for me. He knows me. He know who I am. He watching out for me everyday and is keeping me safe. Although that was just a building block it was enough to continue to grow and to learn for myself if the other things in the gospel are true. It is! It's a simple as that. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is here on this earth today and it is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm a Mormon because I have taken the time to find out for myself if these things are true. I have asked Heavenly Father. I have read my scriptures. I have felt His love for me. I have felt His guidance. I love this gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I read my scriptures and pray to my Father in Heaven. I try to serve people daily. I will embark on an 18 month journey where I will serve the Lord and those around me on a mission. I am giving up this time to put help others find the gospel. It is such a big part of my life and I think everyone deserves to hear it.
