Hi I'm Spencer Dyal!

I am from Canton, Michigan. I'm a Mormon and a missionary in the Ecuador Quito North Mission. Excited to spread the gospel!

About Me

Hi! My name is Spencer Dyal. I am from Canton, Michigan. I am 18 years old and just graduated high school. I am a 2014 graduate! I had a part-time job as a lifeguard for almost 2 years while I was in high school. I was accepted into BYU-Idaho but deferred so that I can serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I plan on majoring in Business/Entrepreneurship in the fall of 2016. I was called to serve a mission in the Quito, Ecuador North mission. I always knew I would want to serve a mission as soon as possible, so when the mission age was changed to 18 years old, I decided not to wait. I am going into the Mexico MTC Training Center in July 2014 and will enter the mission field in September 2014. I have two younger brothers and a younger sister. My family means the world to me! Music is a huge part of my life. I love to listen to music, play piano and was involved in my school band for all my years in high school. I also love traveling and hope to experience even a small part of the world as well as different people and cultures. After my mission, I plan to marry a worthy young woman in the temple and start a family!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church and am very grateful to my parents for encouraging me to go to church and participate in the youth activities. I stay faithful because I have read the Book of Mormon many times and every time I have read it, I have felt the Spirit of the Lord testify to me that its true. For me to deny the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon or deny anything about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints would be as if I denied my own existence or denied the existence of my Savior, Jesus Christ. This is the true church! Joseph Smith was a prophet and he did restore Christ's church in our days. Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's prophet today and he leads and guide us in our times. I know I will love to serve the people of Ecuador and I hope to see them experience the same kind of light and happiness that I have found through the gospel.

How I live my faith

I've had the chance to serve in many youth positions in my ward -- young men, seminary and in my scout troops. I have done my best to prepare to serve a full-time mission in the Ecuador Quito North Mission speaking Spanish. All of my life, I have tried to live through the faith and values that have been taught to me at church and by my parents. I am by no means perfect, but I try to set a good example so that I can influence the people I come in contact with in a positive way. I try to work towards becoming a better person everyday. As a missionary, I will be a representative of the gospel and of Christ. I will spread the light of Christ and the happiness that I feel through the gospel by teaching others about it.
