Hi I'm McKay George

I grew up in Utah. I have hiked Half dome in Yosemite! I'm a Mormon

About Me

I've got a lot of hobbies: Tennis, Hiking, Snorkeling, Running, and most importantly going to church! I've grown up in the church, and I've seen first hand the miracles that come from being part of Gods church. It literally changes lives, I know many people that have transformed because of the changes that they've made in their lives. Let me just say that that change that occurs doesn't make you someone different, it perfects the person that you were before. I, and everyone in this church are able to enjoy themselves just as much as anyone else and still live worthily.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but the reason I didn't leave the church when I had the opportunity to is because, I learned that the stuff that I was told was true... Is true. I've found so many of the things that Christ's church have to say are so plain and precious. I love going and hearing God's word is my life and trying my best to apply it... because it's TRUE!!! Look, if you want to test it out and found out for yourself if the things that I am saying are not lies, go and look at some of the things that the modern day, God given prophet, has to say. His name is Thomas S. Monson, listen to him with an open heart and a content mind, and you will know that the things he is saying are true. IO say this in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I do whatever I can to help and participate in the community. I am an Eagle Scout, so I've done many things to gain the knowledge necessary to get things done in the community. I am a representative of Jesus Christ, so pretty much I'm one of those guys that walks around or rides around (if your on a bike) and serves that community physically and spiritually. It is the best! To put it in words imagine having that fussy warm feeling you get every time you do a something good with you ALL THE TIME. It's pretty much the bomb.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

McKay George
Tithing is used to help keep the church going and growing. Without funding's to God's church, it would not be able to thrive and prosper as it is destined to do. It is important to mention that none of the money funded is used on preachers, Bishops, or anything of that sort. It is important to be self reliant and not dependent on others unless, of course in desperate needs for those who need it. In the church we have things called " Bishop's Storehouse's" These allow the needy to have a supply when required, but church callings are not jobs and people do not get payed to be in them. The payment for these things are blessings from our Heavenly Father. So essentially Heavenly Father is paying those in church callings, not people within the church. But rather, the payments of member's in the church go to the building of Temples, chapels of other buildings, funding the missionary program to spread the work of God, Education, temple work, family history, providing materials for learning, etc. I have a testimony that tithes are completely essential to Gods work, and we are blessed as the people of old were as the payed tithes to the God that gave them everything in the first place, and I say these things is the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
