Hi I'm Scott Bennion

I am the father of 4 wonderful children and 14 grandchildren. I was blessed to be born into the church to loving parents.

About Me

I love to be learning new things and even more enjoy teaching others about the things that I have learned. I love photography, astronomy, playing table games with the family and working on my computer. I spend way too much time playing computer games. I am married to the most wonder wife and love to spend time with her as much as possible. She is the joy of my life and builds me up daily with her love. I have great children who are scattered around the country but are always near in my heart. My sweetheart loves yard work and I really don't like it! I try to help out in the yard but don't as much as I should. I try to compensate by doing a lot of the cooking. Even that doesn't work out as well as it should since I consider myself a chef as opposed to a cook. (Chef's don't do dishes!)

Why I am a Mormon

I cannot imagine not being a member of the church. I was raised with it's teachings and precepts and have accepted them all of my life. However the core of my testimony has come from reading the Book of Mormon. I am a reasonably intelligent person and learn things quickly. I pride myself with my logical thinking and reasoning. But it is important for me to express that there are times when I need to step beyond my feeble knowledge and reasoning and trust my heart. I have accepted the challenge to read and pray about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and know in my heart that it is the word of God. Everything else follows from that.

How I live my faith

I try to give of my time and serve faithfully in any capacity that I am asked to serve in. I have served in many leadership positions and have enjoyed them. My favorite calling has been teaching Sunday School to the 17 year old youth. I have served as an ordinance worker in our local temple, served a part-time mission helping with the addiction recovery program and am currently serving a full-time mission doing records preservation in the Montreal Canada Mission.
