Hi I'm Josh

I'm the one on the left, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the humble backwoods of suburbia Bountiful. I enjoy the great outdoors as well as the great indoors. My favorite color is beluga whale white. My favorite activities include playing basketball, tennis, bird watching and the rousing game of croquet and I would play them all day if I could. I am a self proclaimed professional human being. I find joy in the small and simple things of life, like the color green, or making a perfectly round snowball, or when the usb plug fits into the slot on the first try. I recently engaged myself for a year at the incredible institution of BYU where I learned things such as what BYU stands for (Brigham Young University), and how to wake up early and the fact that if you think someone is waving at you, it's most likely the person behind you. I love being outside and seeing new places and meeting new people. I would love to one day be able to travel the world seeing new cultures, places and people. When I grow up I want to be older. My dream is to eventually get a real pilots license (because aparently the box top ones are invalid) and learn to fly helicopters.Truthfully I'm just a kid on the inside and try to "Carpe Diem" every day. Always remember "If life gives you lemons, you're looking in the wrong places because there's so much more out there than sour citrus" -Josh Harris

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon first and foremost because I know and have received confirmation that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's true church and the message they have is from God. I'm also a Mormon because being a Mormon allows me to be myself. I don't have to pretend or put up a shield. I love being with others of my faith because I know that they respect me for who I am. I enjoy having good times and good times enjoy having me (I'm aware that doesn't make sense just roll with it). When it comes down to it, being a Mormon doesn't restrict or hold me back in any way but rather pushes me, challenges me, allows me to grow and gives me opportunities to better myself and THAT'S why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in Serbia, Croatia and Montengro teaching the gospel to any and all who will listen. Growing up I loved going to church activities and events. I try to find opportunities where I can share my testimony and beliefs with those I meet. I continue to find happiness in helping others. While I know I'm not perfect I hope to be able to set an example for all those who know me. I try to better myself everyday through following the example of my family, friends, leaders, and savior, Jesus Christ. Everyday I strive to not only be called a Mormon but to act like a Mormon whether that be doing service for someone, sharing my testimony or just saying hi to someone, I fully believe that we can find true happiness through diligently working hard in whatever we do and in whatever capacity we can. I live by the words of Abraham Lincoln "Things may come to those who wait, but only things left by those who hustled."
